University of Groningen (RUG)
Since 2008 we have been participating in the Togamaster Nederlands Recht (Dutch Law) of the University of Groningen. During their master's studies, motivated students are given the opportunity to gain practical experience at our firm as a "togamaster". This gives students a clear picture of the work of a lawyer.
We cooperate with the Groningen Centre of Energy Law (GCEL), part of the legal faculty of the University of Groningen. The GCEL coordinates the research and education in the field of energy law in the entire energy chain, collaborating with market players such as Gasunie, GasTerra and the Energy Valley and is part of the Groningen Energy and Sustainability Program (GESP). In addition, GCEL participates in the Delta Gas Energy Research (EDGaR) programme, which conducts research into the sustainability of the gas or energy sectors.
In the context of this cooperation, we support a PhD and on 1 September 2011, our firm engaged Daisy Tempelman as a paralegal for four years on a parttime basis. In addition to her doctoral research 'Changing Energy Markets, Risks and Liabilities" Daisy works for our firm in the areas of energy law and liability law.
We collaborate with Nederlandse Gasunie N.V. (Dutch Gas Union N.V.) in Groningen through the exchange of legal expertise. Several lawyers in our firm are placed with Nederlandse Gasunie on an incidental and temporary basis.
