Our specialists have a broad experience in conducting complex internal investigations. We can conduct fact-finding investigations into malpractice, mismangement and disputes between various parties within an organization (for example between shareholders, the board of directors and/or the supervisory board).
Mr. G.W. Breuker is regularly appointed to investigate mismanagement on behalf of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal (Enterprice Chamber) in inquiry procedures. Also in bankruptcies our trustees conduct fact-finding and legal investigations into the actions of directors and the administration of the bankrupt enterprice.
The internal investigation into policy and wrongdoing should be done independently and decisively. Sometimes it is necessary to take immediate provisional and precautionary measures, such as securing (digital) data (for e-discovery) and the suspension of those involved. We have search and analysis tools that make digital data easily searchable. If necessary external expertise can be called for, for example specialized and reputable IT consultants or accountancy firms.
